The Tagged Text Import & Export Filters enable you to import and export tagged text documents into and from Adobe PageMaker 6.5x for Windows publications. This filter update provides two enhancements over the Tagged Text Import & Export Filters that were included with PageMaker 6.5 and 6.51. The Tagged Text Import Filter update- is more robust when importing files that contain many tags (e.g., over 1,000).- correctly exports index entries. The previous version of the Tagged Text Export filter incorrectly omitted the first two characters of index entries.NOTE: This update is only for English language versions of Adobe PageMaker 6.5x.

Adobe PageMaker 6.5 and 6.51 for Windows include the Add Continued Line plug-in, which enables you to add jump lines (i.e., "Continued on..." and "Continued from...") to indicate where the next or previous section of a story in a publication is located. The Add Continued Line 1.3 plug-in is more robust when used with linked text (i.e., imported text documents that appear in the Links Manager list when you choose File > Links Manager). The Add Continued Line plug-in included in PageMaker 6.5 and 6.51 incorrectly displays an Invalid Page Fault error or the error, "Plug-in error: Please select a single textblock with the pointer tool first," when used with linked text. This problem only occurs when the complete path name to the linked text file is longer than 40 characters. After installing this updated plug-in, the problem no longer occurs.

Adobe PageMaker includes user dictionary files that enable you to supplement the base-language dictionary with customized dictionary entries. These updated user dictionary files are only for U.S. English, U.K. English, and French Canadian languages because only these PageMaker language versions automatically install supplemental user dictionaries. Dictionary Editor does not open the user dictionary files installed with PageMaker 6.5, but opens these updated dictionary files as expected.
