This archive contains an updated version of the Spreadsheet Import Filter 2.0 which was previously available between December 19, 1997 and May 19, 1998. Adobe recommends that you download and install this updated version, which provides additional features or resolves problems as described below.The spreadsheet import filter lets you import spreadsheet files from Microsoft Excel for Windows and Mac OS into Adobe PageMaker 6.5 or later (Mac OS) publications. The filter can import spreadsheets from the following sources:-- Excel 4.0 for Windows-- Excel 4.0 for Mac OS-- Excel 5.0 for Windows-- Excel 5.0 for Mac OS-- Excel 95 for Windows-- Excel 97 for Windows-- Excel 98 for Mac OSThe following feature is new since version 3.0 of the Spreadsheet Import Filter was released on May 19, 1997:-- Version 2.01 did not include support for spreadsheets created by Excel 98 for Mac OS. Version 3.0 includes this support.The following problem has been resolved since version 2.01 of the Spreadsheet Import Filter was released on January 13, 1998:-- In version 2.0, an error occurred when placing a spreadsheet that had a cell whose contents contained only the value of zero. In version 2.01, this error does not occur if the cell is formatted as "General."The following feature is new since version 2.0 of the Spreadsheet Import Filter was released on December 19, 1997:-- Version 1.6 (included with PageMaker 6.5) did not include support for Excel 97.
