The Adobe® Audition™ ASPI Driver patch repairs or restores the CD Extraction (CD ripping) function within Adobe Audition 1.0 by updating the required Adaptec ASPI Drivers and installing the ASPI Driver patch.

The ASPI Driver patch configures the necessary settings within Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or Windows XP® for Audition to use the ASPI Driver to communicate with the CD drive hardware layer. The patch is necessary to restore settings that were provided by ASPI Driver versions 4.6 and earlier but are no longer included.

If you are already able to Extract (rip) audio from CD's in Adobe Audition 1,0, then it is not necessary to install the ASPI Driver Patch.
