The Adobe® InDesign® CS3 Digital Editions Export version 1.0.1 update addresses a number of issues around the Export XHTML for Digital Editions feature, including:
Expanded TOC. You can now choose a TOC Style from InDesign and get a more detailed table of contents in Digital Editions. The new table of contents can include or replace the automatically generated TOC. When exporting a book, the TOC Style list is populated from the TOC Styles in the Style Source document. This is treated as a master document for the book, and so metadata, the definition of the styles used, and now the TOC Style are all taken from this document.
Font embedding. There is a new option in the options dialog box that embeds OpenType® fonts in the exported OPS document. Only OpenType fonts that allow embedding will be included in the document. The fonts are protected in a manner similar to that in the Mars File Format Specification.
Implementation of OPS 2.0: Issues in the generation of the navigation information (the table of contents), the OPF file (which is at the center of the OPS 2.0 spec), and XHTML (the content of the "epub" document) were resolved. This update generates documents that implement the OPS 2.0 v0.984 draft specification dated 16-04-2007. Read more information on OPS and the International Digital Publishing Forum.
